There is something about up north. A part of my soul is drawn to it.
Is it the memories of visiting Grandma and Grandpa? Memories of all the places we’d stop along the way? (There were plenty in our 8 hour drive) Could it be the clear, clean, crisp sky…bright stars twinkling at night? Or maybe it’s the rows of white pines (my favorite) linning the road like soilders?
Knoty pine, sitting by the fireplace, birds always cherping, campfire, fishing, peaceful, simple, forests everywhere, deer grazing in your backyard, fresh air, friendly people, farmers markets galore, beer galore, playing pool, community, laughter, snow mobiling, lumber jack shows, skiing (water and snow), small towns, 5 & Dime stores, bowling alley with 5 lanes, green surrounding you even in the winter, happiness!
Our dream house is up there somewhere. Someday we will live the rest of our lives there.
One may say, “You can find those things anywhere.” There is something about up north. A part of my soul is drawn to it.
